Training on Horizon Europe Proposal Writing
On March 25 and 26, 2026, a two-day training on horizon europe proposal writing, organized thanks to the harp project, took place in the beautiful premises of Masaryk University. The training was prepared for us by lecturers Jelena Kajganovič and Ömer Ceylan from Europa Media Group. The training was intended for project managers from various departments of Masaryk University, who could try out the first steps in analyzing the call and starting to write an HE proposal in the workshops. In addition to project managers from MU, colleagues from UNIVIE also participated in the training. UNIVIE runs a work package, which includes writing follow-up projects, and this was ideal preparation.
The audience included both experienced Horizon Europe project managers and complete beginners, so on the first morning, Ömer and Jelena prepared introductory lectures on the general principles and features of HE proposals and orientation in the specific project vocabulary to get everyone on board. In the afternoon, we started with the practical part and devoted ourselves to a detailed analysis of the call, distinguishing the project objectives from its activities.
The second day we focused on the topic of impact and measures to maximise impact. We then focused on the evaluators' perspective. Jelena and Ömer shared with us lessons learned from Evaluation Summary Reports. In the afternoon we worked in groups again and continued working on proposal development, where we focused on the impact section, and then on exploiting the results and defining the most appropriate target groups tools and channels for dissemination and communication.
During the training, there was already positive feedback on both the work of the lecturers and the organization of the event itself. Therefore, we hope that this was not the last training for RMAs from Masaryk University.
