Secondments at Masaryk University
Visit and joint work within the HARP Twinning project
At the end of April, we hosted Jelle Boeve-de Pauw from Utrecht University at the Department of Environmental Studies as part of the HARP Twinning project. During his visit, he delivered a lecture on action competence for master’s and doctoral students in Environmental Studies.
In the following two days, colleagues from the University of Vienna—also partners in the HARP project—joined us, and together we focused on ongoing project activities as well as planning future collaboration. Our discussions covered joint paper writing, the preparation of a new project proposal, a review of data collection, collaborative data coding, and planning for the final conference.
Despite an intensive working schedule, there was also time for a social programme. We visited the arboretum of Mendel University, the Botanical Garden of Masaryk University, and explored notable Brno villa gardens managed by the Brno City Museum, including Villa Tugendhat and Arnold Villa.
We are looking forward to welcoming a larger group of colleagues from Utrecht at the beginning of November within the ongoing Twinning collaboration, for whom we are already preparing an equally engaging professional and social programme.
